What is the yellow sticky stuff coming out of my nose?

Yellow sticky secretion (mucus) from nose may be because of long standing cold,bacterial or fungal infection ,hey fever or sinusitis.sometimes it may be due to some rare infections.

Use plenty of water specially hot soups.

Use humidifier or vapouriser.

Take saline nasal spray.

If discharge persist or foul smelling discharge present or if you have fever then visit an E.N.T. specialist.

when humans get green sticky stuff in their nose it is because of a sinus infection/cold. I would imagine that a Boxer would be prone to sinus issues, as well. Today, run out to the pharmacy and pick up some generic benedryl -- the basic stuff no fancy "plus". Give it to him in a piece of cream cheese immediately and before you go to bed. This will not harm him. Vets prescribe antihistamines all the time for dogs and one of my vets several years ago (before they started acting like human M.D.'s) told me to buy the plain jane benedryl for skin irritation and allergies. He may sleep a little more than normal but that's what you have to do for the body to fight infection. He should be a little better in the morning when you call your vet.

it's called mucus. everybody has it, part of the filtration system of the sinus. It's yellow due to bacterial infection. go to an ear nose and throat doctor to get the rundown, and to fix your inflamed sinus
