How has Y!A effected your life?

I have dreams about it almost every nigh. I stay up till 4am its ruined my life I cant even revise for my exams!!

It's been very good for me and probably helped keep me sane. I was in a car wreck about 5 years ago and was left with permanent nerve damage as a result of the injury and surgery so I can't work now. If I didn't have Y!A I would just be sitting around watching television all day or getting bored and sleeping. By coming here it's a lot like talking to people so I'm not alone all day and have someone to talk to. Of course that will change a little cuz now my son is out of school on summer vacation. Come to think of it I might be spending more time here to keep my sanity from having to spend all day with him. He is a teenager now and not really into spending time with mama lol.

No, seriously I found this forum by accident, and now I can't go one day without logging on!

I'm sooo excited about the fact that I'm able to get my Islamic pov's out there- although it hasn't all be smooth sailing, I've had to read some pretty nasty comments about my beautiful religion which can hurt and anger even the most placid person!

I feel that this can be a gr8t avenue for Dawa- but i do get concerned when I read Muslims bagging each other out! Not like we don't get it enough from non-Muslims!! When I read that ppl have converted, or are considering, or that they simply find Islam 'interesting' it fills my heart with hope for our humanity.

I just think that I've learned so much-esp about myself. And I hope I've projected Islam in a good light- Insha'Allah.

I don't spend too much time here, a couple hours a week at most, but I have noticed my English and typing skills improving over the time I've been here. No negative effects, I basically laugh off anyone giving me trouble, and, like I said before, I don't spend very much time here.

LoL at least i know I'm not the only one that had dreams about this. But not every night lol.

It just hurts my eyes a lot by looking at the screen for a little while.

same sleeping problem........But there is a good in it..........at least for the holidays I'd not have to force myself get up from the sleep and offer prayers.

I stay until time of prayers(just two or three hours before I usually go to sleep) and sleep after offering prayers.

GOOD benifit hah..............?

Ok some affects:

my spelling is getting better I used worse before.

my life is effected........my life is effected.......ahhhhhhhhhhhh........my life is effected......

Sleep deprivation definitely ~ it's almost midnight but I'm still here and prolly will be for the next 4 hours!!

1. no sleeping problem

2. my parents are getting anoyed coz i never sat on the net for more then 1/2 hour .. no i sit ALOT :)

3. i can debate better .. say my opinion openly

4. i understood non muslims better now

Funnily enough,a lot. I never thought i'd get such a buzz talking,in a way,to people I've never met. Or ever likely to. Bizzarre.
