Can anyone tell me about Windows Vista?
I just bought a new desktop and when it arrives it will have Vista home edition. I've heard so many horror stories about vista. Can anyone share their experience with Widows Vista with me? I want to hear whatever you have to say the good the bad and the ugly.
How can I get XP? Isn't it no longer available? Thanks guys all of the answers have been great. I'm no computer wiz so I will take all the help I can get.

I LOVE VISTA!!!!! It is the easiest thing to use. It is fast and simple to use. It is easy to navigate around. Thought people say it is awful i think it is really neat. The only bad thing is that my MP3 player (creative zen) is not compadible with the system. I believe that in a few short years all programs and computers will be vista or caompadible with vista.

hey,
well Vista is actually better than XP and is more user-friendly, people complains more about vista for some reason that is slower, blah blah blah, anyway the only concern with Visa u do need a memory availability in your pc of alt east 2 GB to have the perfect use of vista,

I got VIsta Home, had every problem (on a top of the range laptop), installed Vista Ultimate, still had problems after having a top MS guy try everything he knew how, and went back to XP - and everything works.

Uurrgghh!! Using window vista is complicated. Unless you are familier, ever attend computer class. I have 1 laptop that uses Window Vista. I chuck it away one side, (lucky it was a gift) to me it take a lot of time to open files. Not to mention slow. Me, I definetly chooze Window XP, easier and faster.

vista is ok, if ur not a computer tech. then u have no worries, if u don't play games u have no worries too, but if u play games and try srew up things then i highly recommend u to XP, i have vista home edition, to me its ok, the graphic is the only thing good about vista, it takes up alot of space and srew up XP games(actually theres alittle bit of games that vista progam can run)
