How does Hawaiian music sound like?
Hi there,
it would be really great if you could give me some information about Hawaiian music, e.g. what music style is heard there, which instruments are used, what groups/songs are well known for being Hawaiian.
I would really appreciate your help!

When you say "Hawaiian music" do you mean just music from local artists in Hawaii? Or . . . the more "traditional" hula type of music?
If you mean just local music then . . . although I've lived in Hawaii almost all of my life, I've never really been that much of a fan of local music. I'm not sure how to answer the part about the "music style." Local music just has a very mellow, laid back feel to it which reflects the Hawaii culture, I suppose. It often uses the ukulele but lots of bands also use other instruments like guitars and drums, etc., just like "normal" American bands. All of the songs just have this same feel to it. I don't know how to describe it; it's just something you have to hear to know. It's definitely unmistakable.
I'm not sure what you mean by "which groups/songs are well known for being Hawaiian" but a popular local band is the Opihi Pickers. They came to my old high school to perform at the annual Ohana O Mele concert. "Our Love is Divine" is one of their hits if my memory is correct.
Have you looked at this website yet?
If not then there are short samples. You'll probably get a better feel for Hawaii music if you heard a few samples and then if you like anything, look for the entire song.
If this is completely useless to you, sorry but I just thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

I hit upon that the single time i will somewhat pay attention the exchange is with an instant assessment. Like playing a music on your residing stereo then right here music on your laptop. yet then I could additionally tell jointly as there is a staggering technology mp3. this is same to dubbing tapes as a baby. the 1st reproduction sounds beautiful properly, besides the shown fact that then you definitely dub that reproduction and then dub the 2d and so on finally it sounds beautiful vulnerable. I certainly have been geared up to visual demonstrate unit each now and then a metamorphosis on my laptop between the extreme low and extreme mp3 bitrates or something. i'm somewhat a CD guy too and that i'll by no ability quit buying discs; I certainly have over 1500 titles on 3 cabinets in 2 rooms in my place of residing so at this factor logical or not i'm committed. yet regardless of if or not you have gotten an ipod or something or purely burning assistance discs with a bands finished catalog on your vehicle the mp3 is easy as hell.

Slack key guitar, Ukulele are some instruments.
Ka'ala Boys, Heart and Soul, with the fabulously talented ukulele virtuoso, James Locquiao, and the high energy of the Sevellino twins, are some other hawaii groups.
