Why wait until Thursday? And why start the finals on a Thursday??

This is totally ridiculous! The only reason they will start on Thursday because of those idiots at TNT, Thursday is their basketball night on television. I hope next year they can strip the NBA contract away from TNT and make more games on the weekends like the old days!

Why would you want to cancel based on a forecast? And if you do cancel, unless you purchased a full fare ticket (highly doubtful) you'll lose your money. The best you can hope for is credit (minus fees) towards a future flight. Unless you know something everyone else doesn't, I would wait until the airlines cancel or delay the flight.

it was scheduled on thursday to make sure the playoffs were done if a team went into game 7 on friday and the finals start thursday there would be a problem now wouldn't there

well lets see, what happened if the two series went into a game seven?!!!! then the celtics-pistons series would be over on sunday, and the lakers-spurs on saturday(today) then the away team has to have a days rest, travel, and have a practice, before media day.
