is planting in strips a practice in you area?

strips in not planting the whole farm in one crop you do a strip of hay a strip of corn a strip of beans the back acre a strip of sweet corn

in PA it is a very common practice

    Strip planting is a very effective method for helping control erosion and for useing crop rotation. It is used in my area but not extensively. There should be more strip cropping.

  • Where I live...farmers plant whole fields of one crop and most farmers only specialize in one crop...say corn for one example or carrots.

    But I live in a high producing area that is where a lot of carrots/oranges/and grain come from
