I'd have to agree with some of the other posts.

I love his bat, but if it's the 9th inning I honestly pray the ball isn't hit to left field lol.

Extraordinary hitter who can carry a team on his back in stretches. Below average defender but does make up for it sometimes with his arm in the outfield.

All in all, most mistakes he makes in the field he compensates for with the bat, so yes we're very lucky!

I think one of the biggest problems Cubs fans have with Soriano is that he does not put in the effort all the time, he puts up huge numbers but he could still be so much better if he gave a 100 % all the time

I hope they do because I believe he is probably the most dangerous leadoff man in the game right now. Now if he can only stay healthy for an entire season. If Soriano is not there the Cubs probably would not be in 1st place

  • Offensively we are very lucky to have a guy like this. Defensively there are far better players. When this guy gets hot though he can single handedly carry this team. So yeah we know how lucky we are to have him.

FYI, Soriano hit his homer at 3:30 pm

While Fonzy can be a liability on defense, he wins a lot more games with his bat than he loses with his glove. So, as a Cubs fan, I say that we are indeed very fortunate to have him.

His bat can go either way. As for his fielding, if he can get the ball in his glove, he would be fine. He has a hell of an arm, but he might as well be catching the ball with a couple of trout.
