I like Zune. I think looking at any of the standard, non Apple Players is really quite cool, small in size, large in capacity. I think the flash drive types work well. I have a Mach 3, from China, all rebates said and done, I paid ten bucks. With just a little TLC (keep it in breast pocket or inside coat, it works great, can change the head phones..runs on one rechargable battery 1mb will hold about 6 -10 high quality albums. If you like them burned at lower quality you're talking alot of music on a very small device.
$ does not mean a better player always, though you may get a better warranty. Just walk into Staples, Circuit city or Best Buy and peruse the prices, tap the unit, is it sort of solid. That's it.

Definitely, for the 80g space, its the Microsoft Zune (80g). You have a lot of free content as well coming online all the time. Zune has ruptured Creative Zen's sales. I have both an iPod and Zune, I prefer Zune for its durability and all the formats it plays.
Source(s): Source: read any review site, Zune beats the competition if you're looking for something other than iPod. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

I'd recommend the Microsoft Zune. The layout of both the controls and software is pretty well done. I feel that it's easier to navigate through all the stuff you have on it.
It also has a bigger screen which is better for viewing video podcasts.
