MLB Amateur Draft?
With the MLB player draft just days away, I was wondering...
Has there ever been a player drafted and sent to the Major League team in the same year? If so, who?
Example: Drafted in June and then on the 25 man roster by August.

Bob Horner (Braves) and Dave Winfield (Padres) did it. Others have as well, but these two seem to be the most succesful of those who did.

during the early 20 people went out of highschool and to the pros, but there was no draft at that time, no player has ever been drafted and made the 25 man roster the same year because it is impossible, the draft as im sure you now is later than the start of the baseball year, they can be optioned up to the majors but they are techniclly not on the roster, they are acruing major league experiance, then they can also be called up when the rosters are expanded to 40, so yes a player can and has been drafted and then played on the pro team but he is not on the original 25 man roster.

I seem to recall David Clyde being drafted right out of high school and going to the majors.

in case you have been in any postion to get a worthwhile signing bonus, you may probable already comprehend you have been being scouted. you would be waiting to google your self and finally end up on lists of draft eligible staggering possibilities. i comprehend quite a few places the place they have staggering a hundred checklist of HS gamers for June's draft. while you're actually not on that checklist, you heavily isn't getting a worthwhile bonus.
