Use toovar , masoor or moong dal for this.
Use 1 cup dal and 3 or 4 cups water.
You can cook dal in pressure cooker or cook it in a pot till it is soft. You can also add a few vegetables to the dal when it is cooking such as carrots, beans.
After it cools a little, Pour out the top liquid in a another vessel. Add a pinch of salt and a little ghee.
After the baby is about 8-9 months, you can mix the same dal water (along with a little cooked dal too) with cooked soft rice and feed the baby.
Hope you find this useful.
Give my love to your baby.
Best wishes!
