Am I a good candidate for grad school?
I have a 560 in verbal, and around 400 in math on the GRE. I have a BA from an accredited university in Literature. I have a 3.4 with A-B's in every English class except one.
I would like to get my masters and be a professor.

Of course you are!
A Bachelors degree in Literature is an excellent foundation for pursuing a Masters and Doctoral program.
Your GPA is great and don't fret about your GRE score in Math ... besides, your 560 in verbal is naturally aligned with your strength -and interest- in Literature.
Be confident and don't allow anyone from any program to give you a song and dance about your GRE score (total). Be self-assured and reply ... "the GRE is a one-day test that is rather meaningless. I've certainly proved myself and my competencies by completing four years of academics with a GPA of 3.4."
Also, even though the most traditional colleges and universities want their instructors to have a PhD, please know that you can teach at the college level with a Masters degree. However, don't simply take my word for it, go online and look at class schedules at colleges and universities and review the courses where the instructor has a Masters degree. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Go for it -and good luck!

To be a professor usually requires a doctorate. A masters degree is a good start. A lot depends on which major or concentration you want to select. If you are interested in business degree, look at the Official MBA Guide for help. It is a free public service.
