if alot of gasoline stations are using 10% ethinol to be fixed in to their gas, how is the price still up?
if ethinol comes from vegetables like corn. and it is cheaper to develop. then why is it that the gasoline stations that have 10%of ethinol is still charging gasoline at $4.00 a gallon.

Ethanol is more expensive in price per gallon while only giving you approx. 50% of the energy for the same amount of gasoline. Thank your Government for the favor.

Ethanol is not cheaper to make than gas. E10 (90% gas, 10% ethanol) has been used for years.
If you based your ethanol price off E85 you forgot that its government subsidized. Don't forget that you will get about 2/3 the mileage because it holds less energy.

cause there is still processed crude oil in the other 90%. in case you haven't been keeping track, crude oil is quite expensive.
oh, having that 10% ethanol is part of the reason food prices are going up. pay a little less for gas, pay a little more for food (all in the name of trying to save the environment). supply and demand are wonderful, aren't they. corn is in higher demand and the available supply is lower, thus raising prices.

because they can. because we have to pay for it...you know... iraq sells oil to us for 157 (or so) dollars a barrel. and they buy grain from us at 7.00 a bushel... what the heck?!?! maybe grain should be 157 dollars a bushel!
