Women voting for McCain... Did you know??

Sen. McCain wants to overturn Roe v. Wade, potentially putting the lives and health of women in jeopardy. Sen. McCain is out of step with America's pro-choice majority: 62 percent of all voters support Roe v. Wade and, by a 20-point margin, voters believe abortion should be legal.

If he overturns Roe v. Wade he may have enough able bodied poor people to wage his 100 years war.

Its simply smart policy if you look at it as a supply and demand issue. How else could he have a disposable class of soldiers that nobody cares about? Propaganda can only last so long before its not so effective.

This policy is in step with other military minded leaders from history. When your body is reduced to the property and policy of the state, then other infringements on basic human rights seem more negotiable.

All sarcasm aside, he's just saying what he needs in order to get the backing of the party base. I don't think he'll follow through on any of it and I wouldn't emphasize this part of his policy as a great concern when deciding between he and Obama. Business in Washington gets done by negotiating to a middle ground. If he were to do this, it would put the law making branch of government into a serious state of gridlock.

Abortion is Murder. I dont agree with it at all. If you are mature enough to have sex then you should be mature enough to raise a child. Its called responsibility.

I only agree with abortion if you are Raped. and that is why Roe Vs Wade came up.

And did you know that Norma Leah McCorvey (Jane Roe) regrets helping to legalize abortion? She never had the abortion and gave birth to a girl.. "Jane Roe" still fights to this day to over turn Roe vs Wade. But the supreme court denys it.

Mccain wont be able to make abortion Illegal. People have been trying to do it for years but they turn it down every time.

I will be voting for Mccain.

You DO understand that overturning Roe v Wade does NOT result in abortion being made illegal, right?

It merely makes it a state government issue again, like it was before Roe v Wade. It will likely remain legal in most states, and will always be legal if it is necessary for the physical health of the mother.

So, all this fearmongering is either based on misrepresentation of the facts (i.e. LYING) or it is based on lack of knowledge of the facts (i.e. IGNORANCE).

I'll leave it to you to let us know which is correct.

WONDERFUL!!! You should care more about an unborn baby than the spotted owl. It's a life! I hope that all abortion is outlawed. What makes me more valuable than a life that I carry within me?? In fact, I should be willing to give up my own life for the life of my child! That what a REAL mother would do!

How about we vote for the man who led the political charge to make sure that babies who survive an abortion are left to die alone a slow painful death instead of being cared for (Obama).

    The authors comment:

"The next president will be the decider on whether women's emancipation from the slavery of the womb will continue in this country."

Slavery of the womb? I doubt that is what the majority of women think? Sounds a little militant to me. I question the authors motives.

It may be your body but what makes you think you have the right to terminate someone elses body?

I think abortion should be banned outright unless the pregnancy endangers the life of the mother and it is clear that medical technology cannot save the life of the mother.

What MCcain has said is that he would like to leave this to the states.. Its HIGHLY unlikely that abortion would be completely outlawed.. He is pandering to the right..saying what they want to hear..it won't happen.

No President has that type of power. The Supreme Court will not budge on Roe...

Its my body but not my life. There is a little thing called adoption...thats were you don't kill your unborn child. I LOVE THIS IDEA! Abortion is used as a birth control all to often.
