i want 2 get my tongue pierced?

I pierced my own tongue about 4 months ago. I also didnt want my parents to find out. I soon found an easy solution. There is something called a tongue retainer.And it is a tongue piercign that is either clear or the same color as your tongue. When you go out or go to school then you just switch the ball of your pericing and it looks better than ever.

About the risks and stuff. There is a slight change your tounge will get infected. Bring mouthwash to school and everything. Super important.

By the way your tounge will swell up alittle. Just say that you bit your tongue swelling will go down soon.

if you really don't want the rents to know, they have clear barbells you can buy. you can find them at your local walmart or piercing parlor. i would HIGHLY recommend you getting it professionally done. when piercing your tongue, you can hit a vein and even END UP DYING. you need to get it done professionally or you are running a very high risk of infection or other serious problems. and yes, it is extremely important that you make sure you're in a very clean, very sterile environment, making sure the rooms, the instruments, jewelry, everything is up to par and meets your expectations. if you do not feel comfortable don't do it. as for your tongue, i'm sure everything will turn out fine. i have my belly button done too, and i wont lie - it did hurt worse than my belly did. of course there's pain and swelling, but all that's pretty much gone after the first week or so. the piercing heals in about 6 weeks. my tongue didn't bleed or anything. it's not that big of a deal. i was very scared and nervous too, but you really have nothing to worry about. i've had mine for a while now and i'm absolutely in love with it. i haven't had any problems with it. good luck! :]

NEVER get a piercing anywhere besides a piercing studio and don't let anyone except a professional piercer pierce you.

I can guarantee that you're not going to do it properly and your piercing equipment isn't sterilized properly.

Your parents are going to find out about it anyways.

You will have a lisp, your tongue will be red and swollen, and you probably won't be able to eat certain foods for a few days.

I've had my tongue pierced for three years now. It doesnt hurt, at all...

Will your parents see it? Probably... you usually see the ring flash when people that have it talk, plus your tongue will be super sore and swollen the next day and you will have a little trouble talking and eating.

but dont eat in forunt of them becuase like for the first week or 2 it hurts and you chew funny. Thats how my sister got caught. but she didnt get in trouble !

I'm planning to get mine done also, but tougue piercings need to be evaluated before hand becasue there is a major artery if punctured could result in paralysis.

I really think you shouldn't. Piercing is getting more dangerous everyday and your mouth is the worst place to get an infection. So I would say definitly don't do it.

i wouldnt do it even if your parents know( and they will find out) if you do it wrong you can loose your taste for ever...... and you will get in a lot of troble when they find out.. and
