Oven door glass.....?

I have a GE model number JTP48C0F7CC. A chair hit the outer glass and shattered it into many pieces. Do I replace the door or just the glass? Where can I find either?

You just replace the glass its easy to do. When we bought our house the oven had no glass. It didn't take me long to discover that's part of the weight that keeps it open. Well GE wanted like 129 for a new one plus shipping! SO my husband went to the recycling center and found one that was off a white oven that looked almost like ours we measured it and saw it would fit. Since it wasn't metal the guy let us have it. Looks like its always been there. I wasn't going to pay over a 129 for a piece of glass even if it is tempered and all that fancy heat safe stuff.

Find a GE retailer, or look up the toll-free number and call GE. The glass may well come as one unit. The company will have a replacement.

Take the door to a glass shop. They can get the proper glass for you.
