    I would say choice of words....

    I would guess you are an ESL student.

    Since your question should have been.

    "Can you tell the differenCE between an uneducated PERSON and an esl PERSON.

    But then again, If you're in the UK. Your choice of words would be different than if you were here in America.

    Both arent ESL.

    Only a lil anyways.

    Often one can tell because of the accent. Also certain grammatical errors are more common to an uneducated person. Someone who speaks English as a second language will most likely say things like "I don't has to know" and an uneducated person would probably say, " I don't gotta know"

    People don't learn to use words like ain't in a second language, but mistakes like the interchanging between "well" and "good" is common in both.

    ESL = people from another country learned english as 2nd (or more) language. I was an ESL student but I speak english like every other American and is almost impossible to tell I was in ESL.

    Uneducated = redneck
