Can the city tow My car If I Moved it to another spot ?

I had a 71 Pontiac Le mans in Sweet condition, When I drove around people would wave and say hi like I was in a parade. anyway parked it in my driveway that goes almost to the back of the house, when there was a mechanical problem thats were I worked on it. the car had been sitting for about 2 weeks Started overheating, Its not registered or tagged and inspected because its a work in progress I just test drive and never had problems with police they wave and admire too one day the city code enforcer come to our door and writes a ticket for a pool table that we had on our porch for two years its concedered furniture and not allowed on the porch we payed $800 in fines and gave the pool table away on Craigslist about a month later he comes and tags my car I went to court , they gave me a month to move it out of my drive way I wait till the last day to avoid paying extra . I park it across the street and run inside when I go back out, there towing it away and I cant have her

"It's not registered or tagged and inspected".

That is the problem. You can move it every five minutes for 3 days straight, but unless you register the car you can be towed away or cited for breaking city codes and ordinances.

what crap pot city do you live in? i've always encountered city ordinances stating that an inoperable and unlicensed vehicle can't be on the street, but you're getting dinged for having it in your driveway??!!!!!!

they were within their right to tow it while being on the street, that was illegal because it wasn't registered and they typically won't release a car from impound if it's not legal to drive. there lies your problem, you shouldn't have parked it on the street.

i'd go to the city, newspapers, tv stations through about this crap where you can't park a car, even if not licensed in your own driveway.
