think of something that makes me feel good...and I mean REALLY think about it...
I ask myself questions, eg. what do I like about that feeling...what was it about the thing Im remembering that is so nice...etc
I look up....tilt my head up...put my shoulders back...straighten my back...
do something nice for myself...it might be as simple as getting myself a glass of water and as I do that I might think something like...isnt it nice that I give my body a nice healthy drink of water...I am helping myself and that is a good thing...and I continue to do things and think things that are positive about myself..
as soon as I notice my mind thinking/dwelling on something that makes me depressed...I DONT GO THERE!!!
I take charge of ME!!! I dont let my unconscious automatic brain take control and burr out negative thoughts that bring me down...Im the one, the conscious person, who is living in the moment...
NOT...a past viewpoint or learning that is just replaying itself over and over again in my mind!!!
I eat something healthy, especially something fresh that provides my body with some nice natural essential elements for my brain to make more endorphines so that I can feel even better..
that's basically what I do!

I usally grab a take-a-way and a movie... or i'll sit in my room with mountains 0f ice-cream n chocolate and watch movies... ring friends 4 girlie chats or i go jogging which is great cuz your running you dont think and it relieves all the sress musles in yha body or something... good exercise too./

Ive been treated with depression for the past 4 years and still haven't found that answer! Medication don't work, drink don't work, smiling don't work, drugs don't work, sex don't work, holidays work a little but not entirely as you will be back as normal when you get back, over working don't work, trying to relax don't work - NOTHING WORKS!
Basically good luck finding that answer

Stop doing what ever i was doing when i got depressed. Not
kidding. Call a time out for your self. Go outside for a walk or do something that makes you feel good.

I for example love reading novels n listenx to music so when I'm depressed i try to do either of them n after some time I feel better.Just try to figure out ur hobbies n do them when u're depressed

usually my friends know when i am depress and will come cheer me up themselves, but i would go to youtube and watch some funny videos and have a good laugh and continue with my fabalous life

I go for a long walk. Excersice releases endorphins to your brain.
The same feel-good endorphins that are found in some drugs.

go out with ur friends. party. just dont sit at home alone cuz that will jus make u more depressed
