Does Paul Pierce deserve an Oscar for his Academy Award winning performance........?
Ok.....so lets break this academy award winning ...Oscar worthy performance down........by Mr. Pierce
So its the start of the 3rd quarter.......LA is leading the Celtics by a couple of points.......the life was getting sucked out of the Boston garden ....so .......Kobe comes down the court his a incredible fadaway jumper .........with Pierce in his face.....and suddenly Pierce is knocked over by his cast member.....Kendrick Perkins.......
......silence ....... the audience ......engaged and concerned for the CAPTAIN PAUL PIERCE is down .......and he is holding his knee......
BUT...... the audience cant hear what he is saying to his trainers and medical staff on the ground ....while aching in pain....but we all know what it is.....
" Ok guys ...here's the plan...my knee does kind of hurt ...but thats not the point here......were gonna bring some life back into this arena...and shift the momentum our way....lets act like im done for the series.....and carry me out of the ....
(cont.) ......arena and put me in the wheel chair so ABC and people watching on TV can think im am seriously injured.....and then I'll take it from there....trust me"
so Pierce captivates and gives the audience a sad moment and a moment of clarity......"looks like the Lakers will sweep"....say a audience member....
BUT wait.......another cast member (Doc Rivers-the coach) also unveils his glory speech to his underdog team....."were a 12 man team....were better then them"
the glory surgers through Ray Allen and KG ....players who have been waiting for this moment their whole career
the audience is still intrested as the game is still hangs in the balance ....tied ....but either team needs some kind of spark....some kind of zest......
Paul Piece in the locker room see's his master plan working to perfection....seeing his teammates digging for their inner-selves.....now its his time to completely keep and change the momentum on his Cast members sides....
someone down the hallway shouts "no way"
the audience see's a youthful spirted ....healthy....nothing wrong with his knee....no limp.....no grief....no wheelchair ....man......hustling out to the hardwood ....
a man in the audience shouts " WILLIS REED of the FUTURE"........
and the audience is inspired.....rising to their feet....not giving a damn about the game....but re-entering themselves into that moment of clarity they felt...during the films....epic moment of Pierce leaving and being left with no hope......
""PIERCE !!!! PIERCE!!!! PIERCE!!!!"
the audience chanting.......
Paul Pierce in his mind knows the script is following just to plan he has his audience for the kill.....and now he just has to make it monumentous.....
the 3rd quarter of the game is winding down....Pierce checks in.....with a standing ovation from the crowd and high-fives from his castmembers......
With nothing absoultley wrong with his knee Pierce hustles down and tries to play defesne....falls.....gets back upp...have soo much energy in the building to feed off of now......he comes down in trasition.....3 pointer.......comes down...again....3 pointer........
" but what about his kneee..." someone in the audience says......
then someone else some this guy is now "LEGENDARY"
and THATS WHERE WE STOP
so....now ....Paul Pierce put on a show and stuck to his script ....and his master plan worked....to the full greatness of any legendary NBA moment....
BUT
it was not.
i repeat NOT........
as legendary as Willis REED running out in game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals after having like a broken foot or whatever for the past 3 games of the series....
it was not more legendary than Michael Jordan who played a crucial NBA Finals game vs. the Utah Jazz with a flu....
and it was not more legendary than Isiah Thomas and him hobbling around on a sprained ankle in the 1989 NBA Finlas vs the LA Lakers.....
WHY?
because it was oscar worthy....it was a brilliant ACT....for the ages....it deserves those oscars you give to Manu Ginobli...Dirk Nowitzki and other players for their flopping abilites .....
Paul Pierce sold it to the audience....and he deserved the oscar
but getting hurt......getting carried out by teammates....getting into a WHEELCHAIR.......and running back out
(cont.) .....into the hardwood court.....pshhhhhhhh.....with no limping or no pain....just a sleeve on the knee....all in the span of like 7 minutes after getting SO CALLED "INJURED"
that nothing close to being legendary
Oscar worthy indeed

First, yes it was all an act. One second the guy cant walk. Still can't walk, and now we see four people carrying him off while he grimaces in pain. We see him in a wheel chair. This is bad we thing (or good, if you're like me a Lakers fan). Then a little later -- about the length of time it would take to get a good rest after being tired -- out comes Pierce. But he doesn't just come out, OH NO no no. He SKIPS OUT, that's right SKIP tomyfuckinglou.
If Pierce thought of that all by himself, then I send my props his way. I doubt he did though. The leauge thought of that one. Just like they thought of letting these to teams aquire the players they did. Just like the League let them get to the finals. Yes, the NBA, I'm now convinced is a big SHAM. scripted, 100 percent.
True, they can't control every little detail. They can control: (1) The trades, (2) the calls made by the Refs. Apparently there are a few select players (like Pierce) who are in on the little secret and are selected to play key roles.
**** the NBA, that's right **** em. Well, really I love the NBA, but I'd hate to see Boston win. I mean, why does Boston, simply because they're Boston get to win? Seems cheap to me, cheap for teams that struggled together for seasons, bled together, won together, cried together. Not the Celtics, manufactured fakeness. KG is a *****, I say Lakers still got this one.
Although Pierce is money too. Why are people all KG MVP, KG MVP. Are you kidding me? Pierce is far and away the MVP. Oh KG is the heart and sole, the binding factor, the leader, the bringer of intensity. No, no, no and no. Those would all be positions that Pierce fills.
KG is a jump shooting big man without a Jump shot. Deny him the ball any distance away from the basket and he's garbage. His size and quickness and a decent hook shot alloow him to do damage when he gets inside. Sure he can board. But, Pierce, wow. Can't believe he hit those two Clutch Threes. He's a panzy and a drama queen, thats for sure. But he did steal the show.

Here's the TRUTH:
NBA players fall down and "hurt" themselves all the time. They ALWAYS immediately act like they just got shot or something, and roll around in pain. Then, 99% of the time, they are up and running within 60 seconds. Pierce was nothing different- he just acted a little bit more. Since the game was on such a grand stage, everybody made a BIG deal about it. That's it and that's all.
On a humorous note, can you imagine playing streetball and somebody pulls a Pierce? He would get laughed at and cussed at repeatedly!

I've seen some disrespectful shirts from Boston fans which doesn't surprise me due to their disrespectful attitudes. So hopefully someone in L.A. stoops to their level and designs a Paul Pierce t-shirt with a picture of him holding an oscar and his knee. Under it should say Most Valuable Poser! I would buy one. LOL GO LAKERS!

knees are wierd things, man...i don't think he was faking, possibly behaving in an exaggerated manner, but not out and out faking...adrenaline can be a temporary cure for almost any pain, that, and whatever cool meds that they gave him in the locker room...anyway, who cares?....the celtics won and basketball needs an east coast team to dominate for a little while....today's youth needs an all around decent guy like ray allen to be someone to look up to instead of headline grabbers like shaq and that japanese beef rapist...sorry, that was a bad joke...i think kobe's one of the best ever.

I watched the video and... yeah. it looked like he was faking it. I think he should've played Jesus Shuttlesworth in He Got Game rather than Ray Allen. I think Pierce acts better than Allen.

Sore losers (Laker fans).. Just accept your team will not win the championship, at least not against the Celtics.
- smash03emLv 41 decade ago
hahaha... nicely done... yes i think he should... LAL lost but a least we didn't have to act so LOW to win... game 2 is good as done as long as pierce acting doesn't get in the way again...the complete story of a douche...not a hero...douche...
