Can I Wear This Dress To A Wedding Reception?
A Little Background on the Wedding:
The couple is getting married in August, but it's a destination wedding. I can't attend. The day after they arrive home, they are hosting a reception. The reception will be held on a Sunday morning at 11am.
The reception is a Brunch and it's being held in a private room at a restaurant. Nothing fancy. Just people, food and a few speeches.
I already own this dress. However, instead of the blue background, mine is White.
Here's the dress:

Do you think this is too much white for a wedding brunch/reception like this?
I should mention the reception is being held a pretty fancy and expensive place.
They also do larger wedding there and I've been there in the past. It was the fanciest wedding I'd ever been to. But, it was a larger wedding. This is much, much smaller.

I think that should be fine because a) the bride may not even be wearing a traditional white wedding dress because it's after the wedding day
and b) it's patterned so it's not ALL white.

Too funny! I tried the SAME dress yesterday! I was considering it for a wedding reception in June.
The dress is very pretty, conservative and very flatering.
I say, go for it. One thing though, wear a cardi, I'm unsure whether or not wearing strapless at 11 A.M. is appropriate.
EDIT to add: The link goes to a green dress, not a white dress. I wanted to add that I went to a wedding last summer in a very fancy venue, and a guest wore a white dress with some black beading/pattern at the bottom. Everyone one was whispering and ostracizing this girl. She left early.
Good luck

The dress looks really nice you could add a jacket in the colour of the pattern or a wrap this would make it look less white if you are afraid of white being too bridle and stealing from the bride .
Have a good time

Cute dress, wear it! I would fancy up the jewelry just a tad, that particular kind seems to make the dress less dressy. Something brown would be fine, but not that big.
If it will be a little cool in the venue, you can easily find a stole to wear.

I think the dress would be perfect also. And to top it all off you don't have to spend money on a new one. With the economy the way that it is, thank God for a saved dollar! I'm sure you will look great in the dress and it will look great on you.

It's a pretty dress. Wear it. It looks like a summery brunchy wedding type dress. Since it's after the wedding you can wear anything you want. I'd wear that dress in a heartbeat.

The dress is completely acceptable.
Entirely too much has been made about the wearing of some white by guests.

It looks really cute. I think it would be perfect and the upside: you don't have to spend more money on another dress! Besides, why is what you where so important? Everyone cares too much about looks.

I think its perfect for a Sunday brunch, but is a little more fancier since it is in celebration of a marriage!
