why is my computer changing the website address I am trying to get to?
I enter a web address on a search engine, and I can't get to the web site. I took a closer look and the computer is changing around the address. The address is "www.hurst.lib.tx.us" The computer changes it to "www.ci.hurst.tx.lib.us" or something similar to that. Why?

This is a server redirect. The response the from the server (web host) you are requesting a page from is redirecting you to that address.

possible a re-direct. So lets say you own two domains, but you only have one website, you want both domains to point to it. It will forward one of the domains to the other one where the website is, thus changing the domain in your web browser
