because the demands of society only allows those at the top to be happy. And they are too busy to really enjoy it anyway.

Yup society today has become corrupted and full of greedy people. Depression today is up, more then it has ever been. =/ Thats were why there is people today called "emo"s and stuff. Happiness is not an impossible dream, it's one you have to work for, that all you can really do. Is just try to be happy, don't let the sadness get you down! :]

  • Some people are just so caught up in what they don't have or can't have that they forget what they do. They get so worried about work, money, and other stressful things they don't take the time to look at the bigger picture. =]

To quote a movie: "Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things ...making those count for more than the bad stuff. Maybe we just get through it... and that's all we can ask for. "

People are unhappy because they think too much about themselves and their personal problems. Look at me. I'm unhappy most of the time too. They can also be jealous of others who are happy, and has whatever they want but can't achieve. That's how life is. It sucks.

We've been living 400 000 years in nature, and about 200-2000 (depending family) in cities. Suddenly there are policies, rules, payments, realtionships, transsexual gay-metrosexual's... And it's tough to find you'r place. And all the people in here, are greedy.

World is tough, and the way policies and rules take us away from our real needs, we're just gonna be unhappy.

I personally blame a lot of it on the media.

It's bad for both male and females trying to aspere to the photo imaging on celebrity's that make every normal person like ugly or overweight.

More people are also in debt nowadays as hardly anyone has any respect for money and just throw it all away.

People are just getting tired, tired of their job, tired of having to look after the kids, tired of politics and sick and tired of that constant bitching about the o-zone layer being jeopardized. Sure we can dream about happiness, but that's just what it is, a mere dream.

Because we live in a society that teaches us to always want more, more, more....we can never be happy until we can be satisfied with the simple things in life.

Everyone has their outlook on life.. Sometimes, you just have to keep your head up and move forward. Life goes on. Regardless, everyone will have unhappiness at some point, its inevitable.
