we are going to gateway international speedway to watch pinks at the end of the month & need help finding a?
place to stay. we would like to find some where in expensive, but not horrible. i am not for sure is there a place to stay with in walking distance of the speedway? any help would be great. we don't need 4 star but some place safe is important!!!! also where are some good places to eat? i love mom and pop places!!!

stay at the Casino Queen, its close by. There are also a Motel 6 and a few other cheap places, there is a Holiday Inn right off I-55 in Collinsville (and other hotels)

I would not suggest staying within walking distance. I would say either stay Downtown or stay in Collinsville. Both will provide decent lodging and food with a short, easy drive.
