To me cursing is the effect or action of some kind of power over someone,as a spell.
Cussing is a curse directed at some one,or an odd perverse person or creature...
swearing is to utter profanity's or to sear in a oath.
So I have to go with swearing as I was taught it was called and defined...
Source(s): swearing it is called to me,and cussing is vary annoying,as when some says cursing they sound like there some kind of uppy person.. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

Different things tat tdifferent times. Sometimes I say curse, sometimes cuss and sometimes swearing. At work I usually say curse or swearing but if I get around my SO's redneck family, I tend to copy them and say cuss.

Swearing unless it's someone who can't talk without using the "F" word then it's called foul mouth or filthy mouth.

I call them bad words
Cursing sounds too European, cussing annoys me too, swearing sounds too old-fashioned. They are just "bad words" to me.:P
