How can I get power gains from a 2006 Audi A4 2.0t? Bigger turbo? ECU flash?

By far the easiest, cheapest and the most gain is from ECU replacement.
I own a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T and I've done extensive research. But given I told my wife the Audi was hers, she won't let me screw with it. She's afraid of too much power.
On my year, the engine was severely detuned. So the new ECU can easily and safely pump up the turbo boost by 30 HP, and even go 50 HP if I want to take a little risk. It is possible that on your year model the engine was not all that detuned, but you will still see significant HP increase.

good Luck...
P.S. It is my understanding that better intake does NOT improve the HP on these cars until you boost the turbo pressure. The intake is mostly governed by turbo so little more or less restriction will do nothing compared to 10 PSI by the turbo.

Before you decide what to do, figure a budget. (most important)
Once you decide that dollar amount please let me know and I'd be more that happy to review some ideas. There's a lot more, than do this, do that. What do you want the car to do, what kind of driver are you and last where do you want to flex this new muscle, track / street or just an overall performance enhancement without voiding you're warranty.
