Thoughts on a merina coil, need to decide weather to have this fitted any info good or bad would be great?

the merina iud made me spot for 5 months straight, i also gained 40 lbs, i lost so much hair in the shower, my ance got worse, i had deppresion, bad mood swings i was just miserable so i had it removed may 26 2008 and i already feel so much better. when i had it in no matter what i did i could not loose a pound i have lost 5 already, my ance has cleared up, im not sad anymore, i want to get out and do more things. i would never recomend it but everybodys different you might not react to the hormones like i did but good luck on that.

I had this coil fitted 5 months ago and have already made an appointment to get it out end of month (can't wait). Periods have stopped but they didn't cause me any problems in the first place , was getting it fitted for birth control, just get a bit of spotting now and again. So good if you want rid of your periods or your periods are painful. But I had bad spots, headaches, tiredness and mood swings but worst off all a nervous feeling that comes over me quite a lot (stomach churning, sweating, heart racing etc) which i think is to do with all the hormones floating about in my body. Doc doesn't agree. But i know my body and I never ever felt like this before in my life (i'm now 40) and did't until I got the coil fitted. But you should maybe listen to other peoples reviews because it suits some people more than others. But good luck!
