It's a website where people post their pics and you can either make comments on them or you can add tags and stuff. It's a really great website. The pictures that are posted on the site are breathtaking. You should check it out.

you already have yahoo account, you can use it to login on flickr.com as it is part of yahoo network.
flickr is dedicated for sharing pictures, there's also basic tools for photo editing. once you login you will see shiny link saying "Upload some photos", you can start there. flickr is pretty easy to use as there are many "help notes" to explain various functions.

Go in, sign up, upload pictures, group in to a max of 3 groups for free, pay more for more organization, fool around with "video" slideshows that I find really distracting.
