It depends on how many seeds there are for the download (the more, the faster).

Also, search for tweaks on how to make Bittorrent faster. There might not be any for Bittorrent, but there are heaps for uTorrent.

That depends entirely on the connections you are making with others and those that are available. If there are few people on, with poor connections or that have limited the speed on their bittorrent it will go slowly. If you connect to a good seed with a quick connection then it will go much faster. Don't forget, lots of private users are on ADSL which has much smaller upload than download capabilities. It's usually best if you get linked to someone on a private or university network, they have fantastic upload speeds. But with a torrent it's just luck who else is downloading/seeding it.

In essence, I honestly don't believe it's up to the torrent program, more likely up to the users on it.

The whole idea of torrent technology is to lower the resource drain - to enable you to download a huge file without hogging a server or causing your whole network to lag. That means that the speed is going to be a lot slower than downloading the same file from a server.

If you want it fast, buy it.

You will find this problem whatever you use Im afraid. Perhaps you should try downloading just before you go to bed ie That is let it run through the night, or set it to run when your off to work/School whatever. Its usually much faster at these times.

i hear you man. mine is the same way. usually, check for thing you can do to make it faster, but ultimately it depends on the available files. like seeders and all.

sometimes if its wireless internet you have if someone else is on another comp in your house then that can slow it down or if your playing games or even browsing at the same time.
