Assuming that his ears haven't been ripped off and his skin roasted from the friction of the air at that speed, he should be able to hear quite nicely.

Barring the sound of the air rushing past you, yes. Remember that the MP3 player will be moving along with the runner, so relative to him/her, it's stationary.

Yes ... the speed of sound is only heard to someone observing the object travelling at the speed of sound.
