It was the now closed River Country at Disney World. It was basically several huge pools that merged with the lake with lots of slides, tubes, ropes, swings, and diving boards all around it. It was really connected to the camp ground but people staying at all the hotels and visiting the resort would go. Eventually technology got better and people figured out that the water wasn't very safe so it was closed and sits empty ever since. You should look it up if you're interested in finding out more about it and getting pictures. Now Disney World has two modern state of the art water parks called Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

im not sure there are a lot of different answers for that. It mostly depends on what type of water park you are talking about. The best thing to do is probably google it.
