The following answer your questions. These are directly from the Merial website for Frontline.
"Do the FRONTLINE Brand Products have any additional label claims?
Effective May 2003, FRONTLINE Plus and FRONTLINE Top Spot were approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be used on pregnant, lactating and breeding dogs and cats. FRONTLINE Spray is not approved to be used on pregnant, lactating and breeding dogs and cats."
"How long after application can my pet be bathed or go swimming?
FRONTLINE Brand Products remain effective for 30 days, even if a pet swims or is bathed. After application, keep the dog or cat from getting wet until the application area appears dry, usually 24 hours. If a FRONTLINE Brand Product is to be applied after a bath, make sure the pet is completely dry before application."

Your best bet is to call the manufacturer - look on their website - and ask them directly. Email would be good, because then you have a copy of the answer.
If she does pick up fleas, you can safely wash her with Dawn dish detergent, and that'll kill them. I wouldn't use any of the chemicals, on her fur or otherwise - everything gets through to the puppies somehow.
This, by the way, is a good time to worm her, if you haven't done so. Ask your vet for safe wormer. And think about putting her on puppy food free feed two weeks before her expected delivery date.
As for swimming, just make sure it's a fairly clean place to swim. The last thing you want is for your dog to be exposed to things like lepto or giardia before the puppies are born - either one of those things could easily decimate them. If you're talking about a kiddie pool or a regular pool, that's fine - and she'd probably love the chance to feel weightless.
But if it's a stream, pond or lake, do consider the exposure to disease- it may not be worth it in the end.

I would ask the Vet to be sure, the frontline is topical so I think its fine, but like I said just call the Vet, swimming is OK i guess I don't know how big she is, if she has gained allot of weight swimming might be too much for her, you know your dog better than any of us

she should be fine to swim and i would have to say that you could use the flea and tick treatment. but if you are nervous about it give the vet a call. good luck with the puppies

The package for Frontline says YES but I personally, didn't use it when my Sheltie was pregnant AND nursing. It's absorbed thru the skin so it doesn't seem safe. Swimming is just fine. Just take it easy in her second month and don't swim one week before due date.

Consult your vet about the flea/tick treatment.
She can go swimming, if she pleases.

yes frontline is safe for pregnant dogs but she cant go swimming for 48 hours after the application. as far as swimming while pregnant in general as long as she doesnt over exert herself it should be fine. however in the last couple weeks of her pregnancy i wouldn't allow it.

WELL ITS UNADVISEABLE TO GO FOR ANE INTERNAL FLEA TREATMENTS WHILE SHE IS PREGNANT AS IT COULD INDIRECTLY AFFECT HER PUPS.... TRY GOING FOR AN EXTERNAL FLEA THERAPY BY USIN FLEA AND TICK SHAMPOOS THEN POWDERS...... SWIMMING IS ADVICE ABLE ONLY FOR THE FIRST TWENTY DAYS OF HER PREGNANCY AFTER TAT ITS NOT AS IT COULD CAUSE COMPLICATIONS

I think so, but I would call your vet just to be safe.

Ask a vet or read the label.
