My partner cares however i sometimes thinks he doesn't, i guess i just forget that he is also going through it to some degree but when you live in constant chronic pain its all about you and we forget that others are trying to deal with it too. I find it is only in my head when i have my "you don't care" feelings or outburst but honestly they all do care and sometimes you just need to sit and talk and let them know what naughty things are going on in your head. I'm probably a bit lucky in that respect because my partner had a horrible accident and has permanent physical damages so i hope that gives him more understanding? Talk to your partner let it all out as depression is also a major part of chronic pain. If he really does not care then he's the one who needs help.

I am positive that it isn't the spouse doesn't care. When someone has a chronic illness, even something like chronic pain, it hurts for the person, but it also takes a lot from the loved ones as well. I am sure its not that they don't care, it may be that they are tired, are stressed out by work, or the fact that they can't make you feel better.

Try communicating, and tell them how you feel, and I am sure their answer will be "I'm sorry, this just takes a lot out of me" or "I'm sorry, I have just been so pre-occupied with work". I am sure of it.

complete blockage as a result of kidney stones. that is really bad . the doctor told me its worse then giving birth. it is the only time i vomited just as a result of the pain. and that was one of the first questions he asked so that is common. i sure would not want that again . i do think that being burned in a fire would be worse i mean near death amount of burns . as far as that goes i would if i had a living will state i do not want any life saving treatment instead just lots of pain meds and let me die . but i have not ever been burned badly . as far as eye pain never had a eye that was so sore as to come anywhere near being on the top of my list .
