I think that even though it might not be a yeast infection she should use something like Monestat 7.. its like a cream that she can put in her vagina for 7 days to treat the discharge. If not, she should she a gyno.

People who find themselves announcing that yeast infections have a nasty scent are fallacious. If in case you have a "fishy" scent you must go to see a gyno. It's not normal, dispite the numerous jokes and myths, and it can be not a yeast infection. Yeast infections are usually not the culprit. It's feasible to have a yeast illness AND one other infection even as. Bacterial vaginitis infections are usual and want antibiotics to remedy them. These are the kids of infections that, left untreated that may rationale extra severe problems, like infertility. There are a few answers right here which are completely proper, and record the discharge as odorless...That is correct, take heed to them.

This may be a yeast infection, especially with the additional information about antibiotics.

There are over-the-counter vaginal creams that can address the infection in that area, but for thrush (oral yeast infection) a prescription from a physician is necessary. Usually a mouthwash or troches (lozenges) are prescribed for this.

If your friend's health problems and/or medications allow her to, eating yogurt may help combat yeast infections. Look for yogurt that says "live cultures" on the package; some of the generic yogurts use killed cultures.

ok antibiotics usually cause yeast infections because your PH balance gets messed up. Does it itch? It will itch like crazy. Does it look a little red and irritated? Some discharge is normal, but it should be more than usual and look "cottage cheese" like. If these are the symptoms then yes, treat a yeast infection. If you really are not sure, go see your OBGYN to make sure

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

White, Clear and Cream coloured discharge are normal.

oudour and itching are not (even though mild itching is to be expected in hot weather/tight clothes)

if she had a yeast infection she would know about it.:

unstoppable itching all the time.. like REALLY bad. An odd smell from discharge and burning when peeing.

It could be. Does it itch like hell? That's how I KNOW I've got a yeast infection and not just some weird discharge.

  • I really don't think it is a yeast infection unless she gets that really awful itch down there, discharge is normal that is all you can really tell her.
