Am I a bird magnet??

After filling up my truck at the local gas station, I opened my door and a small bird flew out of the inside of my truck and hit me off the chest and then flew back in. I had to shake the truck and hit the bird with a t-shirt to get it to fly out.

The next day, I was leaving work for lunch and I opened the front door of my office and a wild turkey, that looks a lot like a peacock, was running around and came within 2-3 feet of me, ran around in a circle and then took off into the parking lot and then off into the woods.

It is 100 degrees in MA the last few days. Does the heat bring out the freaky human-attacking animals? Or should I change my after-shave to a less bird attracting smell??

haha! Sounds like you and I have the same problem...

The other day I was driving my dad's truck when this mockingbird flew at me from the backseat and landed in my hair. It started flapping around there until I knocked it off and it landed in the backseat again. The poor thing was shaking really bad! I picked it up and let it out...I think it was having heat stroke or something from the way it was acting and holding it beak open. It was really hot that day.

I don't see why in the world it got in the truck in the first place! Only one window was open and the gap was only about 4 inches wide!

HAYAHHAHAH! I will bet it does have something to do with the weather... the poultry are not thinking straight, or something.

It's been much colder here in MN lately, and yesterday I was relaxing on the deck sipping a vanilla Frappe when a red winged black bird flew up into my face and scared my shytless. he swooped upwards, so he didn't hit me at all, but it was real scary/unexpected!
