Why are you homosexual?

I would like to understand why someone becomes homosexual. I'm not trying to persecute anyone. The only way someone can accept or not accept a view is if they know exactly what are the causes and results of the view. And I just want to know.

Scientific researchers specializing in human sexuality have shown that homosexuality is genetic.

"Potential for homosexual response is prevalent and genetic," Santtila P, Sandnabba NK, Harlaar N, Varjonen M, Alanko K, von der Pahlen B.; Department of Psychology, Abo Akademi University.

"Genetic investigations provide strong evidence for a heritable component to male and female sexual orientation," Rahman Q.; School of Psychology, University of East London.

"Genetic research using family and twin methodologies has produced consistent evidence that genes influence sexual orientation," Mustanski BS, Chivers ML, Bailey JM.; Department of Psychology, Indiana University.

"The survival of a human predisposition for homosexuality can be explained by sexual orientation being a polygenetic trait that is influenced by a number of genes," Miller EM.; University of New Orleans.

"Human sexual orientation has a heritable component," Pillard RC, Bailey JM.; Department of Psychiatry, Boston University School of Medicine.

I think I am different from most of these people who use answers. I am not really sure how I became gay or if that's just the way I was born, but I think I felt that I was gay after I went out with my first and only girlfriend I decided I wasn't really interested in pursuiting more relationships with girls. It was 100% not anything that my girlfriend did wrong she was almost on a legendary level in the relationship I had with her. It just didn't go as well as I thought it would go. I can remember one specific instance where I was in her car with her one time like weusually were and she let me get a teeny-tiny taste ofwhat was between her legs and I screwed up my face like I had just eaten a sour head. She didn't have to offer me a ******** or anything like that she just said I could try to make her feel good with my tounge like I was regularly doing with my hand. I haven't had a boyfriend yet, but when I enroll in UCSB in the fall I wanna actively pursuit a boyfriend so I can know what having one is like so that I know if I like having a boyfriend better than having a girl friend. I'm 20 years old so the time to try it out is now.

I would like to say God made me this way but a lot of people would have a problem with that. Do I know for sure? No. But why does it exist then??

I certainly did not want to be homosexual but no matter how much I try to fight it, I can't. I've come to realize that its part of who I am and nothing and no one can change that. Therefore, I am homosexual because I'm homosexual because I'm born that way.

    Birth

  • There is no "cause" or "result" to being homosexual. It is a state of being. Why must people try to analyze why someone is gay or straight for that matter? We are who we are because of just that reason, we are. Nothing happened to me that caused me to be gay as the result. I am who I am because that is just who I have become.

I've been homosexual for as long as I can remember. I honestly can't answer your question with a definitive answer. Just like you, I......am. I just am. :)

So I suppose the cause of me being gay is heretofor unknown, and the results are I like men, and that's really the only extent.

Instead of spreading your disguised, polite homophobia beyond Jamaica, why not work there in Jamaica to secure civil rights for GLBT people. Doesn't it bother you that Jamaica has strong ignorance and discrimination?

Look at this Time magazine article that calls Jamaica the most homophbic place on earth and understand that.

People don't become homosexual. You are what you are. It's not a decision. You don't one day wake up and say "I think I'll try out my own sex." I think people are sometimes just born into the wrong body. (Some people are more feminine and some are more masculine). Unfortunately, when it comes to attraction and love, you can't help who you are attracted to.

scientist believe that it is a part of the brain that actually controls sexual drive in a individual. The sex that you are sexually attracted to are set in the brain. Some people think it is a life choice, but that has been proven false over and over again. I guess people do have a choice-People just choice to be ignorant.
