How do I remove icons (not just hide) from the notification area (bottom right) but still have it running?
I don't want the icon to appear at all in the notification area (bottom right between time and language bar) but i still want the program to be running.
I have seen how to "hide it" which is just put it with the inactive icons but i don't want it to be there at all.
Thanks.

The icons in the notification area are placed there by the programs themselves not by Windows. Some programs let you specify to not show an icon in the notification area. Others do not.
For programs that do not the only thing you can do is "hide" them.

I think if you right click on it and press "delete" you will get a popup that tells you this will not remove the program, only the icon, so guess that's what you want.
