Does anyone have att uverse?

I am thinking of changing from direct tv to att uverse. Is it better and less expensive? Already have internet with att, so maybe there are specials for signup. It just became available in my area.

I have UVerse. UVerse has a good picture and is easy to use… It has some advantages over DirecTV

    A) No issues when it rains

    B) DVR is included

    C) Watch or Record up to 4 shows at one time. (Two of those shows can be in HD)

D)Video On Demand… There are hundreds of shows, and if you get HBO (or the big packages that include HBO) you also get free HBO on demand. Lots of free moves & specials. (Same with Showtime on Demand, etc…)

    E) All UVerse boxes are HD (You do have to sign up for HD to get the HD channels)

    F) Watch your Flickr Photos on your TV.

    There are some disadvantages:

    A) Fewer HD channels. (What I would do is to go look at the UVerse web sight and look for channels that you watch or would watch then compare them with DirecTV. If there is an HD DirecTV channel you “gotta have” then you will want to take that into account. If there are, on the other hand, 10 channels that you never watch, or you don’t have HD, then it doesn’t really matter.)

    B) Only one DVR. (Though AT&T says with Whole-Home-DVR which is “coming soon” you will be able to watch recordings from any set top box… cool when it comes. But not available yet.)

As for price, go look at http://uverse.att.com/ and see what the latest special is for the channels you want. Internet comes with UVerse, so be sure to include the price of your internet service when you compare. (prices change so often, and given they ask for your state, probably vary by where you live. For example right now in Texas if you order U200,U300,or U400 you get a month free and $200 cash back… Who knows what the special will be where you live…)

    Happy Viewing!

I love "On Demand" It has movies, shows without commercials, they always add new stuff and you can watch movies where you left off. its like having a video store in your house. You should get it.
