Does the source of your vitamins matter?

Is it somehow more beneficial to obtain, say, 13 mg of Vitamin C from an apple versus a vitamin? Are our bodies able to absorb these "raw" vitamins more easily?

Yes It matters because with the vitamin C supplement and nothing else, Vs an apple which has other nutrients which will take time for the body to absorb or may not even absorb it at all.

No it doesn't matter, that's just like asking "Is getting a candy bar from a corner store different from getting it from Cub Foods?" (and it's the same candy bar)
