Do you ever get messages from the staff at Yahoo Answers telling you that you were insulting others?

The reason Im asking is because I post primarily in the Military section and some of the whiney people in there need a real world answer because they wont be coddled in real life and they need to grow up and stop being crybabies. I have been censored a few times, have you and why ??

Update:

I rarely do insult people and Im not trying to be mean but sometimes these people need a dose of reality, especially those military questions.

And I agree some people in here are awfully sensitive, gotta be treated with kid gloves, geeze.

No not even when I had an account in 2006. I know many people have though.

It's best not to answer if those are the only types of answers you can give. This is an information sharing site. What you got was a violation notice email because another Yahoo! Answers member (probably several), reported you. There is a 10 point deduction each time. We're not here to judge people. Again, if you can't answer in a pleasant way without being hurtful, rude or insulting, then don't answer. Otherwise you'll keep getting violation notices, and possibly risk losing your Yahoo account permanently. That would mean ALL Yahoo services associated with this account, including e-mail. So think twice how you answer, no matter how frustrating it may seem.

Just got a violation right now for answering a question posted by someone who told us all how they'd had a great trip on drugs and they thought they were wonderful and was going to do it again. I answered with, "You can't get through life without drugs? You're onto a loser." Got reported for calling them a loser! What I meant was there are no winners with drug taking! Perhaps I should have stepped in and reported the question for procuring the drug scene?

confident, I asked approximately in case you attain your decrease yet point up in simple terms as you answer you're final question, will you maintain the decrease or get the levelled up decrease. And confident as a results of fact persons did no longer seem to nicely known what I meant.

Nope. I haven't gotten anywhere with the staff. Just the usual violation notices. I don't bother trying to appeal my case--because that's just a useless waste of time and energy.

Yes, I get censored for the same reasons as you. Funny how liberals say they love freedom but they censor people as much as they can. You should see some of the threatening emails I get from them...

I have and it was for suggesting to an asker with very poor writing and spelling skills that they may want to concentrate on their education rather that worrying about if this boy likes her or her friend.

People on here seem to be easily offended and abuse that little report button.

You can not post anything that would be considered anything close to insulting. Calling people terms such as crybabies, stupid, or ignorant will get you reported.

I have for calling someone an idiot. But they deserved it! Yahoo Answers wants us all to play nice and try not to hurt anyones feelings but.... I don't think so all the time.
