Do you buy stuff on eBay? If so, have you ever had someone take your money and then never send you the item?

I haven't, but my brother has had it happen to him at least twice(by two different sellers, of course).

Yea I've had my money taken and not receive the item I purchased but the good thing is that Ebay has insurance for that kind of thing. The seller receives a strike (after 3 you can no longer sell on their site), and you pursue prosecution of a return on your money. But those are the risk that people take for buying online thru and unreliable source.

the only safe way to buy on ebay is through paypal which is like an online bank. when the person doesn't send you your items you get your money back right away! never trust the cash or check sending. they will take your check and not send your items!

Once, I got my money back eventually but I did message everyone that was bidding on her items to tell them that she was a thief, I also contacted everyone that had items that she was bidding on and told them the story too. Basically destroyed her reputation on ebay. I'm a really nice person but not one to be crossed and her denying that she'd had my cheque despite cashing it into her account was taking the p a little.

Yeah I buy stuff on eBay sometimes. I had someone not send me something one time, and I thought I was screwed, but I got my money returned to my credit card eventually

I don't want to buy anything on eBay for that very same reason that could happened to me. I had a friend who did the same thing and used his credit card information. He got lucky enough that he could immediately fix it with the credit card company. I just think you need to be very knowledgeable on how to invest your money and be very careful about buying things online.

Yes, I buy on ebay......but only thru paypal.....that's the only "safe" way of getting your money back if item doesn't show up

personally i have not, i always pay through PayPal, so i am protested, also i always read the sellers feedback before i even put a bid in for an item , keep to those rules and you should be fine, happy shopping

it does happen occasionlly. WHere i got ripped off was buying a magazine subscription through there, by the time you realize the subscription isn't coming its to late to leave negative feedback. You have to read peoples feedback and be fast on communicating with them if you feel there is a problem.

Yes and Kind of. They sent me a really trashed Item at full cost.

ive never had that problem, but you can report it to ebay and they will either get u what u ordered or get your money back
