    Physicists will figure out how to control fusion in another 100 years or so. That would fix things very quickly.

    Some physicists are trying to use solar energy to create hydrogen gas which can be used in a new generation of automobiles.

    At the present time, not at all. The solution lies with Congress, which has prohibited oil drilling on millions of acres of the US. This is costing the economy a billion dollars a day -- but no caribou in the ANWR need look at an oil rig.
