Terrorist Rights-Ruling?

I completely agree with you, this ruling was ridiculous, and are our prisoners of war treated in any way like the way we treat theirs? NO, our soldiers are beheaded and maimed but we let theirs walk free, i find this the stupidest ruling ive heard in a long time.

I dont get it terrorist are not considered enemy combatants that fall under the Geneva Convention. The rationale for denying them rights is that they do not follow any of the rules of it.

Although I will say that Illegal Immigrants are protected by international law many of the times.

But this is just more BS, its the same thing were criminals get more rights and preferences then the victims. I dont know why we give a rats a** about these people who have killed thousands upon thousands of innocent civilians, who only mistake was being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The way this keeps going when we catch Bin Laden, we are going to put him up in 5 star hotel and spend millions of dollars on him running his appeal after appeal. Its a freakin joke.

All the ruling said was that if we as a country are going to decide suspend habeas corpus we have to explicitly say that. Our Constitution is very explicit.

I would hate to see a terrorist released because some slick lawyer found this loop whole. Congress now has the power to fix this. Let's hope they do and that President McCain or Obama make us safer while still protecting our values and constitution.

One of the generals who was in charge of Guantanamo said that he estimated that 1/4 to 1/3 of the detainees deserved to be there, which means that 2/3 to 3/4 don't. If the U.S. abides by the rules set forth in the Constitution, we get to keep international sympathy and the moral high ground. If we abandon them we lose both and become terrorists ourselves.

my view is, Americans did not understand what terrorism is. they treat them as army of a legal establishment. of corse it is good to have a court case with tera if they do the same. but what happens here is a we try to protect human rights and every thing, while they destroy all the rights of ours.

inteligent human being cause panic or disruption to the normal livelyhood of man kind is a terrorist. if that human being kills people with no mercy, and those who killed have nothing to do with their idias. terrorism is spreding lies, fears, killing innocent, stealing, blackmailing, forging, sumgling (income source) among the community.

I don't support this insane ruling. I hope Bush orders our military to kill terrorists instead of arresting them. So far, it's still legal to kill enemies in a war...

I vote we put someone who is going to fix our nations debt. Also who will fix this war. I think we need someone is not greedy and out for ther own. Someone who can fix health care(its so exspensive now). We need someone who is going ot better us not just them.
