We are using my husband's fuel efficient car more because it takes about $80 to fill the van. Combining trips and getting everything accomplished at once. I know people in our area who are really hurting financially, as we are in a mostly rural area and many people must travel 30 miles one way to work and are only making minimum wage.

I find it amazing that our gas prices have been a steady 3.79 for the past few weeks but in areas within an hour driving distance, gas is .10 more per gallon. Many gas stations in our area were investigated for fraud and paid fines. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I walk long distances now. Use the car only to drive to work. Or car pool when I have to get grocercies with friends.

Gas prices have turned into a joke, still no one does nothing about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit $10 a gallon.

I've already used my car for a decorative planter

It sits in my front yard.

Yes - I tend to try to combine trips so I'm doing more on each outing.

Petrol is £1.28 a litre here (UK)
