I just got a pug puppy and his nose keeps running?
I'm aware that pugs have many sinus/nasal problems; however, as a first time mommy, I'm so frightened for him!
Whenever he wakes up, I always have to clean his little nose up from the runs and some crustiness.
Also, when he sleeps, he sounds like he is very congested and makes little "wheezing" noises from his nose.
We're going to the vet today, so I will definitely ask; however, I am curious about experiences from other pug owners.
Thanks!

Oh lord, no reason to be scared.
I totally freaked out too when I first got my Pug.
My vet was just like "CHILL OUT!".
haha.
All that stuff is totally normal.
Good Luck with your Pug, they're amazing!

Pugs have smashed noses, and so do have some sinus and breathing difficulties. What you are describing sounds normal. You could try a little tea tree oil in his nostrils to help clear him up a bit with the runnies.

well mabey if the little one is a puppy you may want him 2 get checked out that would be the best thing but if it is a cog that is normals don't worry just give him a bath clean him up and get him checked !

i might advise feeding him in very small parts...is he eating too quickly besides? specifically situations eating too quickly will reason the canines to throw up....additionally confirm you feed your puppy after any type of actual exertion. Watch your canines whilst its eating...despite if it is common for this actual breed to have respiratory and eating themes you may bypass to a diverse vet for yet another consultation.

you answered your own question.....pugs have sinus and nasal problems, it's in their genes.....the same as bassetthounds are notorius for having bladder problems and skin problems. just genetics hon, sorry.
