How often should I change the water of my goldfish?

Hi, I got a goldfish and I have it in a bowl, and I know bowls aren't good for the fish, but I was wondering how often to changed it's water. I also found out that the fish, whenver coming to eat the 2-3 pieces of food every 6 hours i feed it, there are so many bubbles on the surface, how much should i feed the fish, currently i am feeding about 3-4 pieces in the morning, and the same in the afternoon. Also, do i need plants or something?

Thanks so much

get a holding tank and gently put him in there with the temp. being the same as the habitat that hes in then clean its tank and put new water in there. No soap no chemicals just warm water and a paper towel. No sponges because alot of sponges have soap in them or chemicals which can harm your fish. A water change is supposed to be done about 2 times a week with out a filter. What ever he does not eat you want to scoop out with a fish net. Dont over feed it. They only need to be fed one time a day. NO more than this. Gold fish can eat themselves to death if you let them. They just dont know when to stop. You are just creating more work for your self by adding more waste, ammonia and decay of the fish food what evers left uneaten. So only one time a day. You also need to buy those dechlorinizer drops which reduces alot of the stuff thats found in public water such as chlorine, lead, iron, etc.. well its up to you if you want plant or decorations. If the tank is big enough for all of this stuff then you could but if not then its ok not to because mainly its just for us to look at. The fish dont care what color their gravel is or if theres a sunken ship decoration at the bottom of their tank. Yes its great for them to hide it but thats only if they can fit.

i individually desire you're joking. Thats so merciless. Comets are the biggest of all Goldfish and improve to 18 inches in length. Your fish are all going to die interior of days at that fee. you will possibly choose to alter the water in all probability 6 circumstances an afternoon to maintain them from getting fin rot. Your water gets foggy quickly because of the fact Comets choose a minimum of a fifty 5 gallon tank.

    TIPS:

I would suggest you to change your tank water 25%-50% of your tank water 1-2 times a week .

(Depending on your tank condition cloudy/dirty)

And once a while you can do a complete water change in your tank like 1-2 times a month.

And don't forget to add dechlorinator and some salt(use the one you bought from the fish shop) before adding your fish in the tank.

Hope my answer may help you and your fish.

    Good luck.

Hello, sweetheart,Ms.Goldfish,hi,how r U? Listen, goldfish r scavengers, bottom feeders. In other words,"they can be nasty!" With them, cleaning ur tank once a week will be necessary, especially if ur feeding twice or more a day. Also, when feeding them, U should only put as much food inside the bowl, that can be consumed in about three(3) to five minutes. Goldfish will eat as long as there is food inside it's bowl/tank. They have been known to eat themselves to death. Babygirl, just some food for thought,no pun intended.(wink/smile) Oh and by-the-way, U'll soon grow bored with ur goldfish."Really!"

well you know bowls are not good for goldfish...I can write a whole page of what to do and how to do it and **** like upgrade the tank..but its no use...dont even worry about changing the water and the bubbles on the surface...cos the goldie will die in a few days or a couple of months of no oxygen and ammonia in the bowl...so forget it...feed as much as you like..cos it has to get flushed anyways...so enjoy while it lasts...

you dont need to feed goldfish everyday, i feed mine everyother day at the most, and with that fish being in a bowl, i would clean it out everyother day, you need to get the fish in an aquarium...gold fish dont do good in bowls and since you already know that, why did you get a goldfish and put it in a bowl

in a bowl - change 50% of the water every day until you get it in a 30 or 40 gallon tank.
