windows mail in vista?

To use Hotmail with Windows Mail you need to pay.

To use Yahoo with Windows Mail use YahooPops, see here:

1. Open Outlook 2007 and select tools and then Account Settings.

2. Now select New.

3. In Add New E-mail Account wizard, when prompt to choose e-mail service, select HTTP. Then click on Next button.

4. In the server type box please click on HTTP.

5. From that point just follow the instructions, make sure to enter your hotmail or yahoo email address, passwords etc..

You'll have to use your Yahoo account for windows mail. Your incoming POP3 will be incoming.yahoo.verizon.net and outgoing POP3 will be outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net. If this doesn't work, you can check for your POP3 on your online yahoo email. Make sure you are using classic mail interface and click on options. Then click on POP3. This will work because I use my Yahoo account on Windows Mail, and it works for me!

Because of vista and its numerous issues, I haven't been able to set up mine because the program "stops responding" Vista is a P.O.S.
