Walton slipped and did the splits never touching pierce! The whistle didn't blow until Pierce rolled on the ground.

Apparently the referees thought that Walton hit Pierce while falling to the floor but then you could see that Pierce used some acting skills after the call to make sure the refs blew the whistle. Then Pierce was just sliding and didn't foul and threw the ball to Posey without contact with any player or didn't take any steps.

It was called as Walton was going down first of all, and second, OF COURSE you can foul someone while you're on the ground!
