Sometimes getting A's is a good motivation for students to continue learning. But F's do the opposite, the kids think since they have an F why bother trying? Some kids settle for D's. they don't care for A's.

i do no longer supply grades till extreme college. I homeschool.... each each now and then my son will inquire from me to 'grade' a paper. For me, I only prefer them to income - i'm no longer fascinated in testing or attempting to stump them.... i comprehend in the event that they 'get' it... i will see that from speaking with them relating to the subject and finding at their paintings. i think of it could motivate some - and discourage others. aggressive scholars could thrive, yet youngsters with low self-nicely worth and that warfare with discovering will only get extra annoyed.
