It's an engine where the pistons, cylinders and crank are replaced by a rotor spinning in a special shaped chamber. Very smooth running and revs to high speeds. Also high oil and fuel consumption, and self destructs if revved just a bit too far

It sounds like that could be a powerful concept, the wankel has plenty going for it. It desires a jet unit this is optimized for bigger rpm and those are used on issues like Yamaha jetboats. those engines rev severe, not 40000 rpm yet perhaps 10-12k rpm could be ok for the jet unit.. you may might desire to marinize the engine yet i think of it would desire to be accomplished. not saying it may be!
