Does it annoy you when people don't pick a best answer to the question they asked?
Sometimes I'll come across a question and really put a lot of thought into the answer I give to try to help that person out. Then they follow up by never picking a best answer. Why ask it if it's not important to you in the first place? Pick one out of respect for the strangers who try to help you. Although we all slip up here and there, this happens way to much.
What do you think?

I think you are totally right. I always try to pick a best answer but sometimes i forget or i am in a hurry. It's wrong. And sometimes in a question when it goes into voting the dumbest answer gets picked and not the one with the most thought into it. Sometimes we forget or are busy but you should always try to. And you get extra points to pick a best answer. Some people are just so lazy nowadays(or however you spell that). Also, if you are searching for a question and that person didn't pick a best answer and you really need the answer you need to go through all of them because you don't know which was the best. If the best answer is already chosen it can save time. But yes it does annoy me like crazy cause i'm always searching answers and i don't know which to is the most helpful because it goes to voting and the dumbest answer is chosen. And also when it goes into voting some people don't even read the answers. They just choose the first one. Sometimes it is also rude if you don't pick a best answer because if a answer really helped you out the least you can do is pick them as best answer and thank them for taking their time to answer you question and for helping them out. You are really right about this. Finally someone steps up.

Yes, I hate that. Many times I put a lot of thought and time into helping someone out and they don't even pick a best answer. Then, if it goes to voting, people mostly just go to vote for themselves and most of the time the real best answer doesnt get picked. Also, it takes one second to pick a best answer AND you get points for doing it!

It relies upon at this sort of question. it quite is quite annoying if it quite is a query which you comprehend alot of human beings have positioned some time and attempt into answering. i think of it quite is impolite to no longer %. a terrific answer for them. i do no longer care lots if it quite is purely a relaxing question the place human beings can only supply rapid, hassle-free solutions. For some questions a terrific answer only approximately looks no longer suited. working example, "what's your well known colour?" or "which do you prefer, cake or pie?". it quite is style of problematic to %. a BA for questions like that. i think of i've got asked 38 and purely did no longer %. BA for 2. it is only through fact i did no longer come back to them in time.

I think it depends. Sometimes I think people pose questions so their friend or worse, other account, can get the 10 points. Just console yourself that life is indeed, not fair. And it all comes out in the wash. My dad says, if that is the only victory they get in the day, that is a sad state. Focus on the important things in life, not 10 YA points that can't even buy a donut.

I see where you're going with this..
I would say i'm not gonna dignify this w/ a response,
but i guess i am.
I, actually, am putting a lot of effort into this question, because i believe certain people deserve the utmost respect,
aka, everyone who answers this.
oh dear.

i knoww right, it does get annoying sometimes. I hate how you have alot of work into it,and then they dont select best answer sometimes that ticks me off. When they put it in vote it takes like another 3 days... and all this other stuff..... so you ARE gonna select a best answer o this arent you?

No...sometimes people don't get back in time to answer the question. It's happened to me often, plus if they don't pick, I can pick myself!

Personally I'll only pick it if I really dont someone to get it or if theres this amazing answer that really helped me.. otherwise I can't really choose.

YES! especially when there is only ONE answer and that answer happens to be MINE! If it is a serious question, I do my best to give a knowledgeable answer.

No, I've picked up quite a few points by voting for my answer as best answer, I'm glad they don't.
